Growing Stronger showcase
No current dates available
This event will celebrate the 'Growing Stronger' project with families and schools and also the 10th year golden anniversary of Merseyside Youth Association RAISE's NOW Festival, the performing arts mental health festival, showcasing all previous themes and looking to the future.
Visitors are invited to focus on the environment for children, young people and families through the Growing Stronger lens, and discover what is needed to grow and develop.
You can also follow the footsteps of the NOW Fest journey through the eyes of a caterpillar going through a cocoon of activities related to previous NOW Fest themes and coming out as a golden butterfly with hopes and dreams.
During this showcase visitors can:
- See artwork created by children and their families with artist Julie Mitchell, based on trees, branches and rivers which explores how they grow stronger together.
- Learn more about the Growing Stronger principles of: Getting to Know Yourself, Looking at the Big Picture, Empathy and Compassion, Creating Safety and Choice, and Build Positives.
- Get involved in activities including creating messy cocoons which show what can impact children and young people, planting seeds to show what children and young people need to grow and making butterflies showing our hopes, dreams and pledges to help our young people's mental health and wellbeing.
- Take a tour of our annual NOW Festival over the last 10 years and help us plan for our 11th year and the theme of what children and young people need to thrive in an environment!
