Set in one of the world’s most iconic music cities, National Museums Liverpool are proud to host the Windrush Caribbean Film Festival screening celebrating the sounds of the diaspora through stories of resistance, rhythm, and cultural pride.

A music documentary about the life and legacy of Anguillian singer-songwriter Bankie Banx, founder of Moonsplash Festival and cultural figurehead of the Caribbean music scene.
12.45pm – Feature screening 2: Panazz: The Story (1hr 18mins)
A Trinidadian jazz steelpan ensemble’s journey through innovation, community, and musical excellence. Featuring key players and archival footage.
2.15pm – Feature screening 3: Play It Loud! (1hr 21mins)
A powerful documentary exploring the impact of Jamaican music on Canadian culture, featuring Jay Douglas as a guide through Black musical history.
