Curator Talk

Meet curator Nicola Scott to discuss the work of ceramic artist Claire Partington, on display in room 5. Her original sculptures are influenced by the history of art and ceramics. Nicola will give a ‘behind the scenes’ insight into the new commission, ‘What is a wealthy merchant’s house made of?’ This earthenware figure group was inspired by the painting, ‘Mr and Mrs William Atherton’ by Arthur Devis and ceramics in the collections.
