Framing Faces

Join us at the Walker Art Gallery for our portraiture workshop designed for home learners between the ages of 9-14 years old. Participants will explore two artworks from the Gallery’s collection and learn how to ‘read’ paintings. Using their observation, questioning and listening skills, participants will discover clues in the portraits that tell us about the artist or the sitter. The workshop finishes off with an opportunity for participants to create their own portrait filled with clues about their identity.
