Meet London-based ceramic artist Claire Partington, who is showing at the Walker for the first time. Her original sculptures are influenced by the history of art and ceramics. The artist will discuss her thought-provoking new work “What is a wealthy merchant’s house made of?’, inspired by the Walker’s collections. This is displayed in room 5, with the paintings and ceramics that inspired it.
