Watch the drama unfold in real-time as the new moon rocket launch - Artemis 1 - takes place. Artemis Ascending is a one-hour 360⁰ live immersive Fulldome experience in 4K showing humanity’s historic return to the Moon.
In the event the Artemis I launch is delayed we will be showing the first episode of Space Explorers: The ISS Experience – ADAPT, the first chapter of the award-winning series as well as Space Explorers: The ISS Experience is the largest production ever filmed in space.
The Artemis missions represent humanity's return to moon exploration. The first such mission, Artemis 1, will launch the uncrewed Orion capsule on a round trip to the moon. Orion will carry three mannequins fitted with a variety of sensors to test the environment in the spacecraft and will provide valuable information before the crewed missions which will follow in 2024.
With the full sequence of Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and first person of colour on the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. They will collaborate with commercial and international partners and establish the first long-term presence on the Moon. Then, they will use what we learn on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars.
