Stargazing Events

Join us for a special night of space exploration. Aimed at adults and older children, the event will be packed with guest lectures, special planetarium shows, practical demonstrations and even telescope stations to view the night sky!

See our new Planetarium in action, with new extra shows and take part in's Earth and Beyond Quiz via zoom. 

Suitable for all levels of interest, these events are aimed at adults and children aged 8 and above, although there will be some activities for younger siblings as well. You can join at any time in the evening as long as you have your ticket.


Dr Jackie Bell

Jackie Bell  a Physicist from Imperial College, London, will tell us about the James Webb Space telescope and the results that we expect from it over the next 10 years. She's also a motivational speaker, inspiring girls in science.

Prof Andy Newsam

Professor of Astronomy Education at LJMU, Andy Newsam is able to make even the most complex astronomical data understandable.

Steve Southern from the Liverpool Astronomical Society's Earth and Beyond Quiz is an award winning non-profit organisation. Come and join its CEO/founder, Amelia Jane Piper, as she puts your knowledge to the test for the chance to win prizes! Young Ambassador Programme

This programme provides young people (age 7-14) from all over the UK with opportunities to meet/interview STEM professionals/celebrities and undertake many other duties.

Two Young Ambassadors who be assisting with the quiz and there will be a Q&A after for anyone who would like to find out more about how to apply to be an Ambassador. They'll share top tips for how to impress celebrity judges when applying. Applications close 12th March.
