Join Andrew Beech, life-long Doctor Who enthusiast and Content, Production and Rights Adviser to the BBC for an informal talk on his own collection.  Andrew will be talking about his work with Doctor Who over the years (including his involvement with our Worlds Of Wonder exhibition) and bringing in additional costumes, show props and set elements not included in the exhibition - from the legendary Tom Baker’s costume, Time Lord regalia, additional Sonics, other TARDIS ephemera and much more – a must for Doctor Who fans!

About Andrew: From the early 1980s Andrew was one of the first, and most prolific, proponents of public Doctor Who events, enabling him to forge strong links with the cast and crew of the TV show and start a collection of costumes and props – initially just to avoid them being discarded and lost forever. When the initial TV production ended in 1989 Andrew was recruited by the BBC and its commercial subsidiary (formerly BBC Enterprises, now BBC Studios) as a specialist consultant. Starting as a freelance in 1990, by 2005 Andrew had been drawn into Staff membership until only a few years ago. During all this time he has looked after Doctor Who within the central BBC catalogue/database, advised and coordinated liaison across BBC departments, contributed to the show itself and numerous documentary retrospectives, and worked on a myriad merchandise projects (through the whole process of conception, design, production and marketing/sales), public events (inter alia, a core member of the team which organised the mammoth ‘50th Anniversary Celebration’ at the ExCel Centre in 2013) and exhibitions (having curated the Doctor Who Experience both in London and Cardiff between 2011 and 2017).
