Head from a votive statue

About this object

A small female head from a votive statue. The face is round and slightly turned to the right. The eyes are big with the corners of the eye lids well defined. The eye brows are low arched and the lips are thin and slightly smiling. The hair is shaped in horizontal and vertical grooves that suggest that the hair was tied up in a fillet or wrapped up at the back of the head. The woman is wearing long earings on both her ears. The nose and the back of the head are broken.
