Ivory Disc Shaped Lid

About this object

Ivory disc with engraved decoration on one side and a central pin as a handle. The engraved decoration consists of a circular medallion of a flower with 6 long petals with a few smaller and narrower ones in between them. A band of 6 parallel circular lines frames the central medalion. A similar band is along the edges of the lid. In between the areas thee is narrow band with parallel and vertically arranged curved lines.
The disc is probably the lid of a circular box. It is in several pieces and it has been mended, fixed to a perspex mount. There may be more fragments amongst the box of "general ivory" from Tomb 3A.
