About this object

White Painted III large amphora of an ovoid body, concave neck, flat turned out rim and one out of the two small opposed horizontal loop handles on the shoulder and a ring base. The amphora has decoration of thick and thin brown horizontal bands along the neck and the body. The rim has decoration of brown parallel lines. Just below the neck, there are three triglyphs filled with a herringbone design. The amphora has been joined together from sherds and there are still many missing, especially from the lower part of the body. The handle is painted in thick brown slip and the shape of it is mirrored on the body of the amphora.
