About this object

Human cranium that has been given a new accession number given because so far the item cannot be traced in our acquisition records. The only surviving documentation is a label that mentions it was a gift of Mrs Cox – someone we cannot identify in our records. The label suggests the cranium was within the collections from at least 1900. There is trace of a black annotation on the left temporal bone.
