    Description: Janet May Buchanan organised the first Egyptian exhibition in Glasgow, bringing together loans of objects from W. M. F. Petrie, Amy Urlin and many other collectors. The exhibition opened in November 1912, with Margaret Murray producing a catalogue of the exhibits. Glasgow Art Gallery and Museums registration label were stuck to the objects, with the loan number pencilled in. Objects Amy Urlin lent were returned to her on 1st April 1915. Amy’s collection was purchased by Liverpool Museums in 1944.
