About this object

Early examples of Egyptianizing jewellery or forgeries. Two scarabs, two birds, two miniature engraved tablets. Originally threaded with carnelian beads but taken apart by Rev. Greville John Chester who declared them to be forgeries. Formerly in the Joseph Sams collection.
