About this object

Plaster painted mask and cartonnage apron with column of text. Wrapped with bandages.Plaster face is damaged with area of loss, fabric bindings broken, surface cracks and dirt. Cartonage is cracked and fragmenting. X rays do not reveal any skeletal material. Compare with Raven and Taconis, 'Egyptian Mummies' (Turnhout, 2005) no. 22, pp. 165-6. Possibly ex Joseph Sams collection.
