About this object

Pale green glazed faience scarab shaped seal with details of the head and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with a winged cobra flanked by two nefer signs and a 'nb' or water sign at the bottom. Pierced through the length for suspension. Remains of green glaze only on the base. Dated by Professor Sayce to 1500 BC.
