About this object

Papyrus inscribed in Greek text in 1860 by Constantine Simonides; which he described as being two pages from the Gospel of Matthew 28: 6-16; 18-20; colophon. pp. 30, 31, 48-50. The papyrus is stuck down on a sheet of card which is stuck to a larger sheet of card with other fragments of papyri with forged texts from the Gospel of Matthew.
