About this object

Pottery feeding cup. Flat channelled rim with handle and side spout. Three knob feet. Buff ware with traces of red slip. From cenotaph of Seti I. Bottom annotated in ink: "ABYD 25 REDIM 1000".

Excavated by Henri Frankfort, 1925–26. Purchased from the collections of Norwich Castle Museum, 1956 – given to Norwich by the EES via the East Anglia Egyptian Society that subscribed to the 1925–1926 excavations at Abydos.
