About this object

Kohl pot with remains of dark coloured contents inside. Marked on the base W44. From Cemetery W at Hiw, grave W44, a burial dated to the 11th Dynasty by the excavator.

Marked on the side in pencil with the [accession] number 130. When accessioned in 1899 it was recorded as having a broken lid ("half gone").
