Wilfrid Sir Peek

A Major in the late Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry and served in the Second World War. Sir Wilfrid's grandfather, Sir Henry William Peek (1925-1898) was an importer of tea and spices and established a museum in his house at Rousden, Devon, in about 1850-1880. Other items may have been collected by Sir Wilfrid's father, Sir Cuthbert Edward Peek (1855-1901), astronomer and meteorologist, who travelled extensively in Australia and New Zealand.
