Randolph Humphrey Berens

English clergyman and collector of Egyptology

Son of Revd Hubert McLaughlin and Hon. Frederica Crafton; he assumed the surname Berens on his marriage in 1877 with Eleanor Frances, daughter of Henry Hulse Berens JP. He and Eleanor travelled in Egypt and collected coins and antiquities. His collection was sold at Sotheby's in London 18 June 1923 (155 lots). His wife, Eleanor Frances Berens, also collected antiquities and these were sold at Sotheby's in London 31 July 1923 (114 lots) and 28 February 1924, 19-20 May 1924, and 7-8 July 1924.
