Frederick Ponsonby (1758-1844), British peer and vendor of collection of classical sculpture

Frederick Ponsonby (1758-1844) became 3rd Earl of Bessborough in 1793 on the death of his father. He sold his family's collection of classical sculpture housed in Parkstead House, Roehampton, in April 1801, some of which was bought by Henry Blundell.
