  • Note
Curator's note: This image seems to have been taken several years before the Delhi Durbar of 1911. Sidkyong Tulku particularly, looks several years younger. The location of the photograph has not yet been established, although there is an argument to say that the window panes seen to the right of the photograph resemble the exterior of the palace in Gangtok. Harrington had offices in Calcutta and Darjeeling, so these are also potential sites. Written by Emma Martin
