Located at 4 Fitzroy Square, London W1, the gallery was opened in 1929 by the American photographer Curtis Moffat (1887-1949). Objects for sale included African tribal art, antiques and contemporary china and glass as well as paintings. The gallery closed in 1933, but Moffat continued to live and work in Fitzroy Square until 1939 when he returned to America. His photographic archive and papers relating to his gallery are in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Source: Wikipedia.
