Join us for a unique journey to the stars as we open late for our spectacular stargazing night on Friday 7 February, 5.30pm to 9.00pm

Back by popular demand, our stargazing night is perfect for anyone with an interest in Astronomy and Space who is keen to discover more about the night sky and what it takes to make it as an astronaut!

The event is most suitable for adults and families with children aged 8 or above and there will be some activities for those aged 6+.

The evening will include guest lectures by Dr Jackie Bell, Imperial College; Dr Kevin Bowman, University of Central Lancashire and Steve Southern, Brendon Martin and Phil Williams from the Liverpool Astronomical Society. Explore the planets with a VR headset in our virtual reality demonstration, and if it's a clear sky, stargaze through telescopes in our pop-up observatory.

There’ll also be fun and educational space craft activities for budding astronauts to enjoy, and exciting shows throughout the evening in our fulldome planetarium.

This event is part of the Planetarium exhibition.
